Getting Started

Paste or type your text in the main text area. TextLab provides real-time statistics including line count, word count, character count, space count, and tab count.

Creating Function Chains

• Search Functions: Click the search icon in the control row or use the search bar to find functions
• Add Functions: Click on any function in the list to add it to your chain
• Reorder: Drag and drop function tags to reorder them
• Enable/Disable: Click the link icon on any function tag to enable/disable it
• Remove: Click the X on any function tag to remove it from the chain

Running Functions

Once you have functions selected, click the Apply button (play icon) to run your chain. Functions are processed from left to right in order.

Output Options

• Standard Output: Results appear in the main text area (default)
• Output Redirect: Enable this to show results in a fullscreen modal for better viewing of large outputs
• Fullscreen Modal: Press Escape or click the close button to return to the main interface

Saving & Managing Chains

• Save Chain: Click the save icon to save your current function chain with a custom name
• Chain Selector: Use the dropdown in the control row to select from saved chains
• Rename Chains: Click the edit icon next to any chain in the dropdown to rename it
• Delete Chains: Click the trash icon next to any chain in the dropdown to delete it
• Reset: Click the reset button to clear all selected functions and set to "No Chain"

Toolbar Features

• Actions Group: Undo, Copy, and Clear text operations
• Text Tools Group: Fast Copy mode for clicking words to copy them, and notification settings
• Display Options Group: Output Redirect (fullscreen output), Auto Resize (adjust textarea height), and Word Wrap toggle
• Help Group: Access help documentation and share TextLab
• Collapsible Groups: Click the grip icon to collapse/expand each toolbar section

Pro Tips

• Function Processing: Chains are evaluated from left to right
• Chain Management: Save commonly used chains with descriptive names for quick access
• Output Options: Enable Output Redirect for better viewing of large results in fullscreen
• Real-time Validation: Chain names are validated in real-time to prevent duplicates
• Persistent Settings: Your active chain and display preferences are automatically saved
• Keyboard Shortcuts: Use Escape to close modals, Enter to confirm actions
